International Disaster Risk Reduction Day 2022

HELP Foundation in collaboration with Start Network, Ready Pakistan celebrated this day at Vocational Training Institute, Kot Mithan, in which member District Board of Management Hamza Farid Malik, Rana Muhammad Jameel Principal Institute and teachers celebrated this day. The Speakers highlighted the importance of the International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction, They also aware the participants about the current challenges of Disasters which are being faced by the mankind. The participants also emphasize the matter of Climate Justice for Pakistan.

The International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction was started in 1989, after a call by the UN General Assembly (UNGA) for a day to promote a global culture of risk-awareness and disaster reduction. In 2009, the UNGA officially designated 13 October as the date to commemorate the Day.

The Day celebrates how people and communities around the world are reducing their exposure to disasters and raising awareness about the importance of reining in the risks that they face.
